It is with great sadness that the family of John David Kuhn announces his passing after health complications on July 15th, 2018, at the age of 49 years.

A native of Altamonte Springs, Florida, John attended St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School and Bishop Moore High School. His education continued at the University of Central Florida, where he graduated with a degree in Computer Science. In 1995 John started his wonderful career at Eagle Technologies, which through later acquisitions became Logicon and then Northrop Grumman. Through his 23-year career, John became the inspiration for many new engineers including his younger brother and co-workers. John always gave 110% to his work and achieved success in both winning and overseeing Department of Defense programs in support of the United States warfighter.

While not at work, John had plenty of hobbies to stay occupied, including working on his beloved house in New Smyrna Beach. What was once a tiny run-down cottage has been filled with life, love, and beauty. John followed in his father Tony's footsteps and began woodworking and hand crafting various furniture pieces and other arts and crafts to fill this wonderful home and leave an enduring footprint for all to see. While not in the garage, John loved tinkering with electronics and always had the latest gadgets and toys to play with. Boys will be boys.

Throughout John's life, he had the opportunity that few ever experience. John loved to travel and whether for work or play, with his wife or co-workers, John had the fortuitous opportunity to travel the world, including unique places like Paris and Prague, historical treasure troves in Italy and Germany, and romantic getaways in far off Caribbean islands.
John will always be remembered for being one of the kindest, most generous and caring people that you could ever know.

John is survived by his wife of 14 years, Sharon (Stout), two beautiful cats, Maui and Riesling, mother Jo Ann Kuhn, sister Patricia Relvini (Lino), brother Tom Kuhn (Jennifer), and nephew Ethan Kuhn.

A Celebration of John's life will be held on Tuesday, July 24th, at 11 a.m. at Saint Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 706 Spring Lake Road, Altamonte Springs, Florida.
