It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Frederick (Jeff) Goddard, age 72, of Orlando FL on January 1, 2025. He was born in Flushing, New York on July 30, 1952, to Burnham Layton Goddard and Barbara Hopkins Goddard Singer.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Lois Johnston Goddard; his children, John E. B. Goddard and Matthew F. Goddard; his two siblings, Stephen H. Goddard (spouse Kimberly) and Carol Goddard Cameron (spouse Douglas); his nieces, Cari-Lyn Lane, Maureen Elisabeth (Molly) Goddard, Hannah Cameron Thompson (spouse Allen); his nephew, Jonathan Cameron and numerous other family members and friends.
He graduated from Tilton School in New Hampshire and received a business degree at Utica College of Syracuse University where he was a member of Theta Xi fraternity.
Jeff left the cold for Florida and worked in business management, operations and sales for Walt Disney World, UPS, Greyhound, DHL and Aramark. He was an Eagle Scout in Marion, MA and he was a member of Amateur Golfers of Orlando, Toastmasters, and the Conway Canine Savers Club.
Jeff enjoyed music, especially the Grateful Dead and would travel to as many shows as possible. He was passionate about hockey (Boston Bruins), golf and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. He loved to travel and spend time with friends and family. He was a master storyteller who loved to make people laugh. He had a great sense of humor.
Jeff will be deeply missed by all who knew him but his love, friendship and laughter will be in our hearts forever.
