John Fersa, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, fell asleep and went to the Lord suddenly and peacefully on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at AdventHealth Hospital at the age of 60.
On December 3rd, 1960, John was born in Beirut Lebanon to the late
Nicholas and Nadima Fersa. The whole family immigrated to the United States in 1972 and resided in West Paterson, NJ.
After graduating school, John went on to open his first business at the age of 19. He loved working with his hands and fixing cars at his gas station, and happily served the community for over 20 years. He enjoyed many years in NJ with friends and family before eventually moving to Florida in 2007. His greatest pleasure in life was fishing and boating with the ones he loved especially his sons, and he was always happiest when all around him were having a good time. He became a grandfather in 2020, and seeing his grandson for the first time filled him with incredible amount of joy. He was fortunate to also see the birth of his granddaughter in the summer of 2021. He was a man that loved his family unconditionally, and seeing his family grow was the best gift he could have ever asked for.
John is survived by many people who love him and will cherish his memory. Besides his devoted wife, Sura Fersa, he is survived by his loving sons, Nicholas, Mark and Jason, grandchildren Mason and Danica. John is also survived by his brother Pierre Fersa and his wife Florence , sisters Theresa Haddad and husband Milad , Vivian Maroun and husband John.
Norma Saab and husband her Charbel. John is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who will miss him terribly.
With the viewing and the Divine Liturgy, visitation will take place on Tuesday November 16, 2021, from 11:00am - 1:00pm at St. Jude Maronite Catholic Church at 5555 Dr. Phillips Blvd Orlando, Fl. 32819. The funeral service will begin at 1:00pm with Father Elie Abi Chedid officiating.
