John Cirello, 74, a resident of Longwood, FL was called home to heaven on Monday, October 23, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family.
John was born and raised in Bound Brook, NJ. During his life, John was a professor at Rutgers University, served as a Captain in the US Army, was a CEO of multiple companies, was a Bound Brook Borough Council member and the head of Seminole County's Environmental Services Department. John always strove for more and overcame many obstacles in his life from a life threatening head injury as a teen to his overcoming a reading disability and earning his PhD. However, John was most proud of his role as a father to his 3 daughters and 2 son-in-laws and grandfather to his 4 grandchildren. They will sorely miss their Papa.
A special thanks to Sacowi Medical Clinic, the Orlando Health Heart Institute, UF's Div. of Cardiovascular Medicine and Vitas Healthcare for their expert care and support.
John is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sherron Thomas Cirello. John is also survived by his daughter Sue Henesy and her husband Chris, daughter Beth Cirello, and daughter Sherry Haluszka and her husband Steve; his 4 grandchildren, Chris, Miranda, Aidan, and Mia.
The family will greet friends on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at DeGusipe Funeral in Maitland, FL. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday October 30, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at St Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Altamonte Springs, FL.
