John "Gary" Chelosky, age 67 of Longwood, Florida passed away January 23rd, 2019. Gary was born on November 2nd, 1951 in Wilmington, Delaware to Melhart Daniel Chelosky and Eleanor Elizabeth (Richardson) Chelosky.

In his memory he leaves his only daughter, Nicole Chelosky; brother, Mark Chelosky; sister, Mary Beth Chelosky; neice, Margaret "Maggie" (Joseph Stopka) Ednie; nephew, Geoffrey (Natalie Malawey-Ednie) Ednie and brother-in-law Ian Ednie.

He was preceded by his eldest sister, Frances Ednie and both parents.

Gary graduated from Salesianum Catholic school in Wilmington, Delaware and soon moved onto the University of Florida where he lived, breathed, and loved every minute of becoming a well-renowned competitive swimmer. He was the Southeastern Men's Swimming Conference Champion and also a finalist in the '72 Olympic Trials.

Evident that he was loved by his family, friendships and all connections he made throughout his life made him nothing less than a cherishable and respected man.

Cremation services have been entrusted to DeGusipe Funeral Home & Crematory. A Celebration of Life is to be planned within the following months by his daughter, Nicole.
