John D. Brownell, 61 of Oviedo, Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. John was born October 11, 1954 in Sarasota, Florida and was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph& Norma Brownell.
John was an avid fisherman and belonged to the Central Florida Apopka Bass Anglers Club. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. John was always happiest on the water with a pole in his hand with a fish at the end of it and cooking for his friends.
John worked 35 years in the construction industry and then he followed his passion for cooking by graduating with high honors at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in 2012.
John is survived by his loving wife Karen, daughter Briar, sons Joshua and Justin (Jennifer), and grandchildren Mason and Kyleigh.
John is also survived by brothers, Dan (Beth) Brownell and Jesse Brownell, Kevin Andrzejewski, Stephen Andrzejewski, Rich Andrzejewski and sisters Susie Andrzejewski and Catherine Jacobs, along with his in-laws Joan and David Andrzejewski, and his K9 companions, Riley and Rex.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of the Comforter, Florida Hospital.
