John Stanley Benton Jr. was born in Westfield, MA.
When he was 2 he was found by his frantic mother mesmerized by a passing train. At about 4 he showed his artistic abilities 'painting' a club chair with ink.
John was a renaissance man. He had a keen understanding of mechanics of all kinds and could fabricate almost anything. He was also a pretty good artist.
those of us who love him dearly will miss him more than words can say.
