Joanne Yetto (Lester) passed away peacefully on July 17, 2024, at age 86, in St. Petersburg, FL.
Joanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward F. Yetto, and her parents, Joseph and Thelma Lester. She is survived by her sons: Mark Yetto and his spouse Danita (FL), Thomas Yetto and his spouse Erica (VT), and Daniel Yetto and his spouse Renee (MD). She was also blessed with eight grandchildren, including Erin, Denise, Chadd, Jacob, Jade, Macie, Kailin, and Sawyer, as well as ten great-grandchildren.
Born in Troy, NY, Joanne married her husband of 59 years, Edward "Bud" Yetto, and moved to Vermont as his career progressed, eventually retiring to St. Petersburg, Florida. She was an avid reader and channeled her passion for literature into a career and eventually community service through volunteering at the elementary school library in Essex, VT.
Joanne's primary love in life was her family. She endeared family as not just a part of her life; it was her life. Every moment she spent with her family was a testament to her unwavering love and support. Her kind and giving spirit will never be forgotten and will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
