Joanne Adele Keller (Rotkow), age 86, died peacefully on May 13, 2025, at Advent Hospice, Altamonte Springs, FL, following a 6 year battle of Dementia.
Born March 1, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, was adopted by her loving parents, Samual and Rita (Isaac) Rotkow and was raised in Savannah, Ga.
Joanne Adele Keller (Rotkow) is survived by her 7 children. Daughters, Debbie (Paul) McBride, Shelly Anderson Katz, Terri (Michael) Zeh, Alesia (Albert) Mixner, and Laurie (Larry) Maring. Sons, Jeffrey (Kimberly) Anderson, Michael (Elizabeth) Anderson, her 22 grandchildren, Kristin, Heather, Kim, Jenna, David, Danielle, Tori, Michael, Jennifer, Nathan, Jack, Abby, Stephanie, Albert, Christopher, Christina, Autumn, Andrew, Kaitlyn, Jessica, Amanda and Tyler and 31 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Abraham Keller, and her parents, Samuel and Rita Rotkow.
Known as goochy granny, with the red hair, by her grandchildren, Joanne was full of life. She loved her family, along with her dog Sammy. Sammy was her dear companion. She never met a stranger, and was friendly with everyone. She was very crafty. She loved making jewelry, but her specialty was making dog collars and leashes. She and her husband Abraham, loved to go to the flea markets and sell them. They both enjoyed life. She loved to work in her yard, and boy did she love to dance!! She seemed to be the life of all the parties and weddings. She was the energizer bunny!!! She often spoke of when she danced for Lionel Richie at a concert. Joanne's hometown of Savannah was very special to her, and her remains will be taking there. She will finally be home. Joanne's legacy is her family, and she will live on through her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren!!! She will be missed!!!!
