Joanne Inderlied Elefante, age 67 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26th , 2026. Joanne, affectionately referred to by her family as JoJo, grew up in Titusville and graduated from Astronaut High class of 1976. After moving to Orlando and graduating from USF, she began her long career in Banking and Wealth Management.

In 2019, Joanne was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer however, that didn’t stop her from fulfilling her bucket list. A few of her numerous travels included gazing at the spectacular Alaskan Northern Lights while cozy in her glass ceiling igloo, Paris in the summer, the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Festival and her annual July 4th week in New Smyrna Beach with her son, Sal. Her most recent pastime was hooking up her RV and trekking the Southeast with her ladies-only camping group.

Joanne is survived by her son, Salvatore (Sal) Elefante, brother Robert Inderlied; sisters Bonnie Inderlied Rogers and Faye Inderlied Owen along with many nieces and nephews.

Joanne faced life’s challenges with grace and strength, reminding us that resilience can be gentle and still incredibly powerful. We take comfort in knowing that her love and spirit will remain with us always. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
