In Loving Memory of Jimmy Ray Aderholt
February 19, 1934 – October 18, 2026
Jimmy Ray Aderholt, born on February 19, 1934, in Haleyville, Alabama, passed away on October 18, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, generosity, strength, and unwavering devotion to the people who meant the most to him.
Jimmy was a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, and a caring man whose heart always seemed to have room for one more person. He spent his life providing for others, making sure his family was cared for, and giving whatever he could to those around him. His generosity was not simply something he did; it was who he was.
For 69 years, Jimmy shared his life with his beloved wife, Joyce Carlyn Aderholt, until her passing last year. Their years together were a testament to a lifetime of love and commitment. Though her absence left a space that could never truly be filled, there is comfort in knowing that Jimmy has now been reunited with his beloved Joyce in Heaven.
Jimmy was known for his outgoing personality, his caring spirit, and his incredible gift for storytelling. He could captivate a room with his stories, sharing memories and moments that brought people together. His stories, his warmth, and the way he made people feel welcome will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
His love extended far beyond his immediate family. Jimmy opened his heart and home to many foster children throughout his life, offering care and a place for others to feel loved. His life was a reflection of the belief that family is not only who you are born to, but also those you choose to love and care for.
His faith was another cornerstone of his life. Jimmy was devoted to his church and treasured his church family, finding joy and fellowship in the community that meant so much to him. His faith remained an important part of who he was and how he lived.
And then, of course, there was his lawn mower. Jimmy loved mowing lawns, and it was one of the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He was a strong man who kept going, staying active and living life on his own terms until the very end. That strength, determination, and independent spirit were just as much a part of him as his generous heart.
Jimmy leaves behind his three sons, Kelley, Keith, and Kevin; his sisters, Magdalene and Deborah; his brother, Larry; and multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other beloved family members who will carry his memory forward.
While his family and friends mourn the loss of a truly special man, they can find comfort in the countless lives he touched, the love he gave so freely, and the memories that will remain forever in their hearts.
Jimmy's life was measured not by what he had, but by what he gave. He gave his time, his love, his strength, and his heart to the people around him. He was a storyteller, a provider, a man of faith, and a loving soul who made a difference simply by being himself.
