Jim (Walter Jimmy) Sims of Apopka Florida, passed away on July 28, 2021, at the age of 71. He was born in Japan and then adopted and brought to the United States when he was 3 years old. He attended Boone High School and then FTU which is now UCF. He worked in the hospitality industry and then in sales.

He married his wife Cindy in 1983 and together they built the house themselves that they have lived in for the last 36 years. His greatest passion in life besides his family was GOLF. He played the guitar and sang. He loved to travel. He could fix and build anything.

He is survived by his wife Cindy of Apopka, stepmother Gail Sims of Orlando, step children Paul Jackson (Saoirse) of Orlando, Jodie Hopkins (Mike) and David Corydon, granddaughter Aryn Murphy (Michael) of Orlando and great granddaughter Amelia, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Walter Sims.

Jims wishes were to be cremated. He did not want a visitation or a funeral; he wanted his friends and family just to remember him as he was.
