Jennifer Louise Levenhagen, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away on August 10, 2023 at age 65.She was born December 23,1957 in Indianapolis, IN to William and Joanne Levenhagen. She graduated from Benton Community High School in Van Horne, IA and progressed through a meaningful career in manufacturing and logistics management, successfully tackling the challenges of working in male-dominated industries. She dedicated time to her church and community, serving as Sunday School director for St. John's Lutheran Church when she lived in Newhall, IA and serving as HOA president at the retirement community where she lived in Debary, FL. However, she would say her greatest success in life was raising a family.
Jenny loved her children and her grandchildren more than life itself. She found joy when visiting her family, whether across town or across the country. As an example of her dedication, organizational skills, and attention to detail, she took on the task of creating, printing, and distributing a family calendar to track the 225+ birthdays for the five generations of Levenhagen family members descending from her grandparents. She showered her family with unconditional love and was always ready to share a laugh or lend a shoulder.
She is survived by her three children, David (Amy) Levenhagen of San Antonio, TX, Austin Veenstra of Marengo, IA, and Jaclyn (Brian) Horine of DeBary, FL; grandchildren Samantha Levenhagen, Carrie Levenhagen, Lacie Horine and Brison Horine and siblings Matthew Levenhagen of Houston, TX, Mike (Michelle) Levenhagen of Grimes, IA and Gretchen (Bart, deceased) Schawe of Omaha, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Joanne, and her sister Lynore Levenhagen.
Funeral services, followed by a reception for family and friends, will be held Sept 2, 2023, starting at 1:00pm at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Oviedo, FL. Flowers and memorials for Jennifer may be sent to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 2021 W State Rd 426, Oviedo, FL 32765.
