Jeffrey Brian Scott, age 64, of Altamonte Springs passed away Wednesday December 18, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Scott was born October 21, 1949 in Denver, Colorado. He grew up in West Hartford, Connecticut. He attended the University of Connecticut and Wagner College, Staten Island, New York City. His entire career was spent in the seafood business in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Florida. Illness forced an early retirement. He was a lung cancer survivor but suffered for years with heart disease. He was well known in the community, had many friends, and was dedicated to serving his fellow man. His favorite past time was cooking and he was considered a gourmet chef. He was a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Church in Altamonte Springs. He is survived by a brother David M. Scott, also of Altamonte Springs.
Calling hours will be held Sunday December 22, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at DeGusipe Funeral Home & Crematory 9001 N. Orlando Avenue, Maitland, FL 32751. There will be a funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. December 23, 2013 at St. Mary Magdalen Church 861 Maitland Avenue, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701. Final interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery 4100 East Genesee Street, Dewitt, NY 13214. Gifts of remembrance may be made to the American Heart Association.
