Jeanne Margaret Chase passed away on December 30, 2024. She was 78 years old and fought a long battle with cancer. Jeanne was a long-time resident of Orlando, Florida and before retiring, she worked as a Legal Assistant at several local law firms. She lost her husband, Warren Chase, in 2022, and was a devoted caregiver to Warren before his death.

Jeanne loved to travel and had many adventures with her beloved friend, Cynthia Belar, and her husband, Jean Louis. She was an avid gardener and a vociferous reader of both nonfiction and fiction. Jeanne particularly loved the many cats she owned over the years.

Jeanne was also pre-deceased by her mother, Mary Margaret Ramsey, her sister, Linda Burns and a nephew, Mark Burns. She is survived by her youngest sister, Claudia North and her brother-in-law, Richard North of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by a nephew, Richard North III (Nikki), of Atlanta, and a niece, Maggie Ramsey (Kevin), of Washington, D.C.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, 11:00 AM at Oaks United Methodist Church, 201 South Clarke Road, in Ocoee, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, https://secure.aspca.org/
