Jeanette Marie Koegler (Palmieri), née McDonnell

Jeanette Marie Koegler, also known as Jeanette Marie Palmieri, née McDonnell, passed away peacefully in Winter Park, Florida, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 59. She was born on September 4, 1966.

Jeanette is survived by her cherished daughter, Hannah Koegler; her loving parents, Mary Ellen and Tom Galaida; her sisters, Michelle Vanderlaan, Tracie Palmieri Tobacco, and Lori Palmieri; her brother, John Palmieri; her nephews, Zach Vanderlaan and Louie Tobacco; and her nieces, Julia Harper, Nicolette Tobacco, Gianna Dellamedaglia, and Emma DiDonato, along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Catherine and John Riordan, who welcomed her into eternal peace with open arms. 

Jeanette was born in the Bronx, New York, and lived in Queens Village, New York, until the age of 10, when her family relocated to Altamonte Springs, Florida. She attended Milwee Middle School and Lyman High School, where she formed lifelong friendships that she treasured throughout her life.

Jeanette had a remarkable gift for connecting with people and brought warmth, kindness, and dedication to every job she held. She was especially proud of her work as an office manager with Divine and Estes, P.A. in Orlando, where she was respected by colleagues and clients alike. She also had a compassionate heart and was passionate about helping others, including volunteering her time to support abused women in the Orlando area.

Celebration of Life

The Tap Room at Dubsdread Golf Course Wednesday, August 19, at 6:00 p.m.

In honor of Jeanette's vibrant spirit and love of beauty, guests are encouraged to wear floral attire or bright, colorful clothing. Jeanette requested that black attire be avoided if possible.

In accordance with Jeanette's wishes, her body was donated to the University of Central Florida College of Medicine to further medical education and research. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the UCF College of Medicine or to organizations supporting lung cancer research or no-kill feline rescue in her honor.

Jeanette recently found her way back to the Catholic Church, a source of great comfort and peace in her final days. Her family finds solace in knowing she was welcomed into Paradise by the angels and now rests in the loving presence of our Lord.

Jeanette will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering strength, infectious sense of humor, and the genuine love she gave so freely to everyone around her. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend whose kindness touched countless lives. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
