Jean Guldenschuh Stapp Provancha was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 25, 1935 where she lived until 1968. While in Atlanta she met and married her high school sweetheart, Douglas Stapp. Together they had six children. She was privileged to be named Sweetheart of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity at Georgia Tech and was founder and first president of the Atlanta Chapter of the Theresians, an organization dedicated to fostering and nurturing vocations to the religious life and sisterhood.

After moving to Orlando Jean became very involved with St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church where her children attended and later Bishop Moore High School. She served as president of the St. Mary Magdalen Women's Guild, served on the Parish Council and chaired their first Fall Festival, art auctions, numerous fashion shows and four bridge luncheons/auctions/card parties. She served as chairperson for St. Robert's Circle and St. Gerard's Circle, was a member of the St. Mary Magdalen Council of Catholic Womén, the Central Deanery North, and the National Council of Catholic Women. Jean was also a charter member of the Order of St. Mary Magdalen, served as a Eucharistic Minister, and as a Minister to the Sick. When her children progressed to high school she served as President of the Bishop Moore Home and School Association for two years and served on the Board of Education. She was chairman of the very first fundraising festival that Bishop Moore held. She also had a love for Morningstar School where she undertook the co-chairmanship of one of their Fashion Show Galas.
No project was too large or too small, and Jean loved and thrived with each of these challenges. She greeted each day with a smile and laughter in her heart for others until she lost her husband, Doug, in 1998.
In 2001 she met and married George "Bud" Provancha who had also suffered the loss of his wife. They met at daily mass and soon Bud was teaching Jean to play golf and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors, and to laugh again.

Jean lived her life to the fullest each day-traveling, playing bridge, golfing, and loving her family and friends.

She is predeceased by her loving husband of 44 years, Douglas Stapp; her loving husband of 7 years, George "Bud" Provancha; son, Howard D. Stapp III; and granddaughter, Jamie Archer Roberts. Survivors include sons; Michael Stapp, Oviedo; Peter (Susan) Stapp, daughters Tracy (David) Ring, Atlanta, GA; Vicky Scott, Port Orange, FL; Beth (Daryl) Lang, Hubbard Lake, Ml; daughter-in-law Lauren Hill Stapp; grandchildren Marissa (Stephen Delaney) and Chad Ring; Christopher Scott; Michael (Ashley), Matthew and Marshall Stapp; Candace (Danny) Forrest; Maitlin Stapp; 2 great grandsons, Dylan Forrest and Stephen Delaney and 1 great granddaughter Ella Jamie Forrest; and 24 nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Wake Service will be on September 7, 2018 between 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM at DeGusipe Funeral Home - Maitland Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Altamonte Springs, FL on September 8, 2018 at 9 AM.
Burial will be immediately following at Glen Haven Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested for Father Ed's Vocation Fund c/o St. Mary Magdalen Church.

Reception will be following in the St. Mary Magdalen Cafeteria.
