Buckalew, Jean Sanford
Jean Buckalew died on December 30th at Florida Hospital Orlando from complications following lung surgery. She was born on December 13, 1938 in Obion, TN and lived most of her childhood in Hickman, Kentucky. She was a graduate of Murray State University and taught Elementary School in Kentucky, Germany and West Virginia.
In 1960 she married Edward Buckalew and they lived in Kentucky, Germany, West Virginia, Texas and Louisiana before locating to the Orlando area in 1989. She is survived by her husband and two children, John (Cate) of Folsom, CA and Anne (David) Bradford of Charlotte, NC and grandchildren Grayson Buckalew of Folsom and David, Sarah, Emma and Will Bradford of Charlotte.
Services will be held at The Episcopal Church of The Resurrection in Longwood at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, 2015. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in Jeans' memory to The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 251 East Lake Brantley Drive, Longwood, FL 32779.
