88, died February 6, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Glens Falls, NY, the eldest daughter of four born to Adelbert and Edna Flint. She moved to St. Petersburg with her family in 1937. She was married to John A. "Al" Brown from June 21, 1948 until his death June 10, 1985. In addition to her husband, Jean was predeceased by her parents, stepdaughter Harriette Clark and grandson Richard Clark. She is survived by her children John, Jr., Rick (Kathy), Jan, Sheryl, Doug and Eileen, grandchildren Kevin and David Clark, Paige Bure, Aly Zelenak, Sarah and Laura Brown, John Brown, III, great grandsons Jackson Bure and John Brown, IV, sisters Carolyn Martin, Patricia Adams, Adel Mein and several nieces and nephews. Jean was a talented professional cake decorator prior to starting her long teaching career at Rio Vista Elementary. A perfectionist with an eye for detail and design, Jean was most happy with her role as "Mom". She is and will be deeply missed. A celebration of life was held privately.
