Jean Lee (Swenson) Brinkman was born to Lee and June Swenson in Minnesota on January 3, 1950. She attended St. Cloud State College. December 18, 1971, she married Jeff Brinkman. In May of 1972 they moved to Florida where she worked for AETNA Insurance for 5 years. After Jeff started his own construction company she was involved with the Homeowners Association, where she later became the President of the Home Builders Auxiliary. For over 30 years she was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church where she was very active in various committees including running the Sunday school, and creating banners for the sanctuary.
On July 22, 1985 she was blessed with daughter Rachel Jean.
Along with her work for the church she was a very active volunteer at the American Legion, Post 63, all while supporting Jeff by handling the bookkeeping and clerical works in the office. Jean was a lover of arts and crafts, and was very creative in both the crafting room and the kitchen.
In November of 2011 she welcomed her son-in-law Joshua Crowe, and soon after her first grandchild, Aslynn Lee in May of 2013, followed by Logan Randall in October of 2015. One of Jean's greatest loves was the family cabin in Minnesota, where she could always be found at the end of the dock, fishing pole in hand. Jean was a strong woman with enough room in her heart to fit anyone that walked into her life. She had an amazing sense of humor, and a knack for comforting.
She was preceded in death by her parents Lee and June Swenson, her in-law's Arnie and Rita Brinkman, her sister Julee Immerfall, and brother-in-law Dick Immerfall.
She is survived by her husband Jeffery Brinkman, daughter Rachel Brinkman Crowe (Josh), grandchildren Aslynn and Logan, her niece Nola Immerfall Dickhausen (Dan), her nephew Aaron Immerfall (Darcy), along with many other in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers Jean's family is asking for donations to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association.
Jean is much loved and will be missed by many, but she will never be forgotten.
