Jim was born in Missoula, Montana, April 19,1930, and passed away June 10, 2017 in Orlando, Fla. He graduated from Cascade College with a B.A., and George Fox University with a B.D. degree. He completed an M.A. degree and a doctorate at Montana State University.

For the next 13 years Jim taught at Westmar College, serving as Chairman of the Dept. of Education, and also Chairman of the Iowa Teacher Education and Professional Standards Commission. Jim married his sweetheart, Marjorie Beeman in 1952, and the union was blessed with two children…Janet Fleck, and Julie Burgos. They were further blessed with four grandchildren…Carla Sidhom, Eric Fleck, Chris Burgos and Casia Burgos.

Jim was an ordained United Methodist Minister…and in later life served as a seminary professor in India, at the South India Biblical Seminary,and also served with Dr. Thomas Gnanamuthu in the Christian Counseling Center in Bangalore, India.
