In Loving Memory of James “Terry” Johnson Jr., 54, of Orlando, Florida, who went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 25, 2026. 

On that day our family suffered a heartbreaking loss, and we are struggling to imagine life without him. Though the pain of losing him is beyond words, we find comfort in knowing that he is at peace in Heaven, reunited with his father, and resting in the loving arms of our Savior.

 Terry was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law, nephew, cousin, and friend. His presence brought comfort, his laughter brought joy, and his helping heart for others left a lasting impression on everyone blessed enough to know him. Terry had a servant’s heart unlike any other. He spent his entire life showing up for others, especially those who had nowhere else to turn. His wife Tracy once said, “Terry didn’t stop to pick up stray animals; he picked up people.” Those words describe him perfectly. Terry opened his home, his heart, and his wallet to anyone in need. He never met a stranger, never hesitated to lend a helping hand, and never expected anything in return. Terry lived his life putting others before himself. His kindness was not just something he talked about; it was something he lived every day. He understood that sometimes people need more than a helping hand. They need someone who will listen, someone who will care, and someone who will stand beside them when life becomes difficult. 

Terry leaves behind his beloved wife Tracy and their children, Maddison, Jayden, and Jameson; his mother, Deborah Adkins of Winter Park, Florida; and his siblings, Missy of Orlando, Florida; Laura (David) of Chesterfield, Michigan; Jason (Brandy) of Orlando, Florida; Kimberly (David) of Casselberry, Florida; and Detra (Mike) of Clermont, Florida. Terry was preceded in death by his father, James Terry Johnson Sr. 

He is also survived by his in-laws, Fred and Vicki Jenkins of Pace, Florida; his sisters-in-law, Patti (Jeremy) of Pace, Florida, and Ashley (Jake) of Orlando, Florida; his brother-in-law, Freddie of Orlando, Florida; 17 nieces and nephews; and 4 great-nieces and great-nephews. He also leaves behind extended family members, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends whose lives were touched by his love, kindness, and generosity.
