James Edward Sams, 78, of Casselberry, FL passed away February 20, 2020 at his home.
He is survived by his daughter, Natalie Sams Kincheloe and her husband Michael of Orlando, FL; his granddaughters Haley and Lindsay Kincheloe; sisters, Patricia Bucklew of Parkersburg, WV and Norma Wright of Belpre, OH and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Frances Louise Sams; his two sons, James Edward Sams II and Michael Jon Sams; and his parents Walter Howard Sams and Helen Virginia Sams.
Jim grew up and resided in Parkersburg, WV, attending Parkersburg High School Class of 1959 and was a former member of St. Margaret Mary's Church. He then lived in Vincent, OH for 28 years before moving to Florida in 2004. He was a member of the Winter Park Elks 1830, and a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus 594, Parkersburg, WV.
Jim was a retired employee of Borg-Warner Chemicals after 34 years of service in Production and Training. He later worked for Professional Services of America; Elkem Metals as a Training Coordinator; he had established a small framing and handyman business in Florida; and most recently worked for Ace Hardware until his death. Over the years he enjoyed traveling to Alaska, bowling, golf, fishing, and being a handyman to anyone who had a project for him.

Greeting of Family and friends will be Saturday September 19,2020 from
1:00-2:00pm at DeGusipe Funeral Home Maitland with a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00pm.
