James Patrick Mooney (Rick) passed away December 12, 2023, after a sudden illness at his home in Sanford Florida surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 73.
Rick is survived by his wife Cheryl Mooney of 35 years. His sons Larry in Maryland, Nicholas, and Clinton of Corpus Christi Tx. Donnie (Nikki) and Andrew (Bre) both in Florida. 18 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and his sister Barbara also from Fl. Preceded in death by his son Raymond and daughter Heather. His Parents Arnold Mooney and Wilma Oconner
Rick was born on May 24,1950 in South Charleston WV to Arnold and Wilma Mooney. After graduating High school Rick Joined the Navy and spent 20+ years prior to starting his second career of a stay-at-home Dad raising teenagers.
A military service will be held later when all family members can attend.
