The family of James T. Hewitt mourns his death on July 9th, 2018. He is the beloved husband of Carol Ann Hewitt, father to Dawn Hewitt, Debra Kelley, Barbara Coombs and Jill McCluskey, grandfather to eight children and great grandfather to two children.

James, known as "Jim", is described by many as a kind and trusting man, the consummate gentleman at all times, and one who never knew a stranger. He was approachable, very friendly and his colleagues enjoyed working with him because he made every task an easy and fun experience. Jim was born in Alexandria, Virginia and graduated with honors from Catholic University of America, and later American University in Washington, D.C, after which time he worked with George Romney and served as President in a joint-venture development company between England and the U.S. His love of people took him out of the corporate world into real estate development and brokerage, where he enjoyed a one-on-one relationship with clients over a period spanning more than thirty years, as an owner of Oxford Realty.

Those who knew him will miss his constant smile and his willingness to help others. He was a deeply spiritual man and his commitment to Godly principles was witnessed by all who encountered him.

A wake will be held on Sunday, July 15th, 4 to 5:00 PM, in the Chapel of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 526 N. Park Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789.

A Catholic burial Mass will be held in the Church on Monday, July 16th at 10:00 A.M. followed by the burial and a reception on the 2nd floor of the Parish Family Center.
