Obituary

Freeman, James Scott, Orlando, Florida, age 37, tragically died October 7, 2015. Scott was born on September 7, 1978, in Orlando and was a lifelong resident.

He was predeceased in death by his grandfather, Frederick Walter Mackemer and great grandparents, Charles and Hazel "Gigi" Lucille McEwen along with Clara and Andy Brown. He is survived by his loving mother Debra Mackemer Booth (Carl), father Jerry Freeman of Texas, sister Megan Nickelsen (Tara), grandmother Marilyn McEwen Mackemer and son Justin Andrew Freeman of Atlanta. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his wife Desiree Freeman, ex-wife Rita West (Leonard), uncle Douglas Mackemer (Caprice), great aunt Charlene Twyford and cousins Teresa Twyford, Annalise Mackemer, Nicolas Mackemer and Marissa Mackemer.

He had a passion for life and to live it to the fullest bringing joy to those who knew him. When he loved, he loved unconditionally and his friends and family meant so much to him. He strived to take care of those in need and was an individual who stood out, in every sense of the word. Music was instrumental in his life and he loved so the different varieties.

His wonderful spirit will be celebrated at a memorial service on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Church on the Drive, 1914 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, FL 32804.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mental Health Association of Central Florida, 1525 E. Robinson St., Orlando, FL 32801.
