James H. "Jimmy" Carter went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 8, 2018 at the age of 84. He was a loving husband, father and grandpa who loved his family with his whole heart.
In addition to his parents and sister, he is preceded in death by the love of his life, Margaret P. Carter, who passed away on June 15, 2017 and was missed tremendously by him. Jimmy leaves to cherish his memories his children, daughter Denise Hinkey (Bill), son James Carter (Cindy) grandchildren Jennifer and Nicholas Carter, step-grandson Billy Hinkey (Vicki) great-grandson Miyka Carter and sister Marian Mueller.
He was born on February 27, 1934 in Seville, Florida and moved to Palatka, Florida as a child. He graduated high school and worked at Hudson/Georgia Pacific as a manager/supervisor until he retired at the age of 63. Jimmy and Margaret moved in 2002 to Altamonte Springs, Florida to be close to their children and grandchildren.
He loved all sports but he especially loved the Florida Gators, he was their biggest fan!
Dad you will be missed beyond measure but you're in God's hands now and no longer in pain. We will love you forever!
There will be a viewing on Sunday August 12, 2018, Family time will be from 4:00 to 5:00 and the family will greet friends from 5:00 to 8:00.
