James William Boyce Sr. (Nickname – Jim) died Thursday, April 11th in Lake Mary, Florida. Jim died peacefully at the age of 84. Jim is survived by his wife Angelina Boyce, Daughter, Debra Nicola, Son, James Boyce Jr, Deceased, and several grandchildren (Ashley, Jessie, Ameer, Ryan, Jillian, Maria and Brandon.

Jim was born on February 13, 1935 in Peekskill, New York to Melvin Boyce and Lorretta Donnelly from Peekskill, New York. Jim graduated from Assumption Catholic School and Peekskill High School. Jim attended and graduated from Westchester Community College, Peekskill, New York with a degree in Civil Engineering. Jim is a military veteran, having served in the US Air Force with honors. Jim married Angelina, his high school sweetheart, on May 21, 1960. Jim was captain of the Peekskill Fire Patrol and served as a Peekskill School Board Member for four years. Jim retired from the Town of Cortlandt at the age of 63 from the Town of Cortlandt Engineering Department. Jim loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, who would sit on the dock until the beer stopped flowing or the fish stopped biting.

A funeral is scheduled for Monday, April 15, 2019 at DeGusipe Funeral Home from 2:30 – 4:30 pm at 905 Laurel Avenue, Sanford, Florida and THE burial will be on Tuesday, April 16th at 11:00 am at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US-1 North, Mims, Fl 32754.
