James Phillip Allen, age 67, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on March 3, 2022. James was born on May 7, 1954 in London, Kentucky, the son of Lima Jean (Hensley) and Johnny Pearl Allen. He attended the University of Kentucky, where he met his wife, Jill. They married in June 1975 and had three kids and eventually eight grandkids. He worked for Red Lobster for seven years, where he helped train new employees in Louisville, Oklahoma City, Houston, and Tokyo Japan. After re-enrolling at UK, he became a certified teacher, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, father, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was a dedicated teacher for nearly thirty years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and survived by his wife Jill Diane (Evenden) Allen, daughter Stacey (Andrew Brown) Allen; sons James (Marie-Claire) Allen and Trevor (Darby) Allen; 4 granddaughters: Cordelia and Lorelei Allen, Jaylee Young and Sophie Brown; 4 grandsons Gavin, Aidan, Tristan and Finnegan Brown; and his sister Marsha Allen.
