Jacqueline G. Helmholtz, 91, of Pinellas Park, passed away on August 22, 2022. She was born December 4, 1930, to Marie Rose and Alfred Gagne, in Montebeillard, Quebec Provence, Canada.
Jacqueline ("Jackie") is survived by her sons, George L. Pereira of Windsor, MA, Paul G. Pereira of Punta Gorda, FL, Raymond S. Pereira of Rehoboth, MA, and Elizabeth P. Allen of St. Petersburg, FL. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Tanya, Cynthia, Lisa, Brittany, Michaela, Emily, Bobby and Chester, and her great-grandchildren: Kyra, Olivia, Ethan, Lily, Levi, Ava, Colin, Joseph and Athena. Of her thirteen siblings, Jackie is survived by her sisters, Carmen, Ghislaine and Marguerite, all of Fall River, MA.
Though born and raised in Canada, she was a United States citizen via her father. She moved back to the United States with her family when she was eighteen and as she always said," finally came home to where I belong." She taught herself to speak, read and write English. She married George Pereira and they raised their four sons (including deceased son, Michael Pereira) and daughter in Reboboth, Massachusetts. After her husband's passing, she moved to New Port Richey, Florida in 1981, where she later married Robert Helmholtz.
Jackie was hard-working and down to earth, with a good sense of humor when needed. Her greatest joy and accomplishment was raising her children and seeing them have families of their own. Her favorite past-time was bragging about them.
Jackie's impact on her children and those who knew her will last a lifetime.
