On April 10,2023 1st Sergeant Jack Leatherman took his last breath. To the world he was known by Jackie by his parents and his two sisters. He became 1st sergeant Leatherman in the army served in the Koran and Vietnam War, he was the founder for the Laporte county Vietnam veterans association. But then his name changed again but this time being called dad to AnaMaria Meadows(Joe L Meadows)Cristobal Leatherman and Joanna Butler(Robert Butler). But for us his grandchildren
Joey, Cristina, Aaron,AnaNicole, Luis and Lucas we knew him as grandpa he was very proud to be called grandpa. He became a great grandpa to his great granddaughter Cecilìa and that name he was very proud of. Also grandpa had his love for his German shepherd dogs and many more dogs. We all have our own different stories with grandpa from our favorite tradition on Christmas Eve of watching 24 hours of The Christmas Story to his favorite day his birthday. Grandpa would always say to us for his birthday he wants chocolate cake and gotta have ice cream with his birthday cake. We will miss him and we will celebrate his favorite holidays and keep his stories going.
