Jack P. Volpe of Winter Park, Florida entered Heaven's gates on February 4, 2015. He was born in Curwensville, Pennsylvania on November 21, 1927. Jack graduated from Curwensville High School. He served 2 tours of duty in the United States Army to include serving in the Korean War. He retired from the National Institutes of Health after 32 years of service.
Jack enjoyed pitching horse shoes, bowling, a good game of poker and following all Pittsburgh sports teams. He also enjoyed attending spring training games with his family.
He was married to Betsy White Volpe in 1955. They were together 60 years. He was a loving father to LeeAnn Volpe-Thompson (husband Roger), Charlene Volpe-Anderson (husband Barry) and Kelly Volpe-Rannels (husband Michael). Also, the doting grandfather of 5. Tyler Thompson, Jack Thompson, Miles Anderson, Olivia Rannels and Jack Dylan Rannels.
He was proceeded in death by his loving parents James and Helen Volpe, brother Michael and sisters Marguerite Volpe Dietrich and Alliene Volpe Weeks.
A private celebration of life is being held with interment to his birth place in Curwensville, Pennsylvania.
