Jack Crider, 83, died on July 11, 2016. His wife, Dolores, daughter, Kathy Lapp, son Cliff and son-in-law, Pete Lapp were caring for him at home.
Jack was raised in rural Cullman County Alabama. He graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in Accounting. Jack and Dolores lived in various east and west coast Florida cities. Jack spent two years working in Saudi Arabia with TWA and Saudi Arabian Airlines. Jack settled in Winter Park, Florida, where he and Dolores raised their two children. Jack was passionate about maintaining small sport's cars with his son and restoring an Austin Mini Cooper, eating healthy and spending time with his family. He was an avid tennis player and introduced his two granddaughters to tennis, where they both became college players. Jack, always active, never retired and exercised regularly, and for the last 30 years was a Trustee for The Day Family Foundation. Jack is survived by his wife, Dolores, daughter, Kathy Lapp, husband Pete, son, Cliff, wife Denise and grandchildren, Lacey and Laura Lee Lapp and Matthew and Shea Crider. In addition, brothers, Dwayne and Grant Crider and sister, June Methin.
