It is with a heavy heart the family of Israel Serrano-Martinez announces his passing. Israel passed away at the Healthcare & Rehab Center in Sanford, FL, on September 27, 2023, at the age of 85. He will be greatly missed for his witty sense of humor, love for animals, and concern for others.
Israel's longtime favorite hobbies, before dementia began, were reading the Catholic Bible and the National Geographic magazines, watching western/action movies, and listening to the "Oldies." Above all, he cherished his family, a loving and devoted husband, father, and proud grandfather.
Israel was predeceased by his parents, Esperanza and Dolores Serrano-Martinez. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Maria (nee Moreno) Martinez; four adult children: Nilda Martinez, Israel Martinez, Jr. (wife Mirna), Naida Martinez-Broecker (husband Kraig), and Andy W. Martinez (wife Linda); five grandchildren: Michael, Daniel, Alyson Marie, Kraig, Jr, and Michael Q.
There will be no prior visitation; however, a celebration of Israel's life will be at 10:30 am ET on Friday, October 27, 2023, at All Souls Historic Chapel, 800 S. Oak Avenue in Sanford, FL 32771
