Isabel Maria Rhodes passed away peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2025.
A beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Isabel (better known as Mamibelle) is survived by her four children: Diana, Liliana, Carolina, and Carlos; nine grandchildren: Michael, Mario, Giannina, Khalil, Anthony, Alicia, Ashley, Priscilla, and Alec; and her eight great-grandchildren: Kaylin, Isabella, Asher, Kai, Michael, Ivaliz, Mario, and Arabella. In addition, Mamibelle was a mother to everyone she encountered as part of our family, including all of our spouses, significant others, and extended family.
Mamibelle was a fierce and independent woman who helped pave the future for her children and three generations of our family by moving to the United States as a young, independent single mother. Mamibelle worked tirelessly throughout her life to provide for each member of her family, so that they, in turn, could have a better life than she did. Mamibelle helped teach and guide each one of us to work hard, change quickly and often, and, more importantly, always have appreciation and humility. Mamibelle was the first to lend a hand, provide a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen to, or, more often than not, a meal to soothe our worries away. She was everyone's greatest cheerleader, always proud of what each person accomplished, yet tough and honest when it was required. She was always the life of the party at every family event, whether that was dancing with the grandkids and great-grandkids, playing games with family, going to Disney with the kids, laughing at the stories we would all tell, and the most memorable is always saying, "I love my family."
Mamibelle taught us that the most valuable and rewarding gift is the time we all spend together. She was the anchor of our ship in the vast ocean we call life. We all love you, Mamibelle, and the world will never be the same without you.
