Obituary

IRENE MOORE CLARK, 87, died Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

Irene was born March 29, 1928, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Arthur and Harriet Thomas Smith. She graduated from North High School, where she was an enthusiastic member of the ladies boxing team.

Later in Tampa, Florida, she married Oscar Ray Moore and raised a family. She became a full-time homemaker and church-goer. Irene was a professional bingo player, who also enjoyed fresh and salt water fishing, sun-bathing, and POWER shopping.

She is survived by her daughter Linda M Moore, Linda's partner Ron Miller, grandson Ray Barry and his wife Brenda of Kissimmee, FL., grandson Afton Barger, Jr. of, Arizona, grandson Adam Barger of, Alaska, and great-granddaughter Samra Barry.
Irene survived her two husbands, Oscar Ray Moore and J. C. Clark, and her siblings; four brothers: Arthur, Edward, Johnny, and Robert Smith, and two sisters: Harriet and Ruth.

A celebration of her life and wake will be held at Linda and Ron's home in Sanford at 8559 Christopher's Haven Court on Sunday, April 19, from 1—4 pm. The family will be serving Honey Baked ham and is asking people to bring a covered dish or dessert.
