Ida Roman 88 of Maitland, Florida was called home to the Lord on October 24, 2021. She was born in Union City, NJ on April 26, 1933 to the late Anthony & Yolonda Gullace.

Ida was married to Renato Roman from Fanna, Italy on October 27, 1956 and moved from Keansburg, NJ to Orlando, Florida. Ida worked at Alpine Terrazzo since 1973 early on as co-owner and then secretary. She was the iconic voice of Alpine Terrazzo.

Ida was a devoted member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Maitland, Florida. She was active in parish retreats and Cursillo. Ida loved to cook dinner for the priests and any other guests in her home. Our mother loved us well. She loved God, her family, friends and neighbors. She never wanted the party to end. We know Ida is now celebrating in heaven for eternity.

Ida was preceded in death by her husband Renato Roman, brother Frank Gullace and her sister Jean Darcel. She is survived by her sister Elenor Mosler, daughter Renae Burtrum (Tim), son Renato Roman (Heather).

Ida has 7 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter and 1 great grandson on the way.

Our family is forever grateful to Ida's caregivers for their compassion and friendships.

There will be a public visitation 5:30-7:00 pm Thursday November 4th at DeGusipe funeral home in Maitland. The funeral will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Church 10:00am Friday November 5th.
