Ida E. (Massey) Carroll, age 95 of Orlando, FL. went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 19, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 25, 2016 at Eastland Baptist Church, Orlando FL. with Derrick Shirley officiating.
Mrs. Carroll was born January 28, 1921 in Rossville, Ga. to Dewitt and Maude Massey.
Ida and her husband Duke moved to Orlando, FL in the year of 1980 where they became very active in their local Church activities. She was a Prayer Warrior and enjoyed the ministry of sending greeting cards to shut- ins as well as sharing her love of Christ with everyone.
Ida was preceded in death by her sweetheart (husband) W. Duke Carroll, one brother, Albert Massey, three sisters, Myrtle Brown, Alleen Standifer, Edna Ruth Mavity, and a son-in-law, Jerry Ferguson.
She is survived by two daughters, Diana Shirley (Haran) of Orlando, Fl., Patsy Ferguson of Chattanooga, Tn. and a sister-in-law and best friend Ann Massey Johnson of Rossville, Ga. Grandchildren, Dawn Norton (Timothy) of Canton, Ga., Derrick Shirley (Marci) of Ormond Beach, Fl., and Kevin Wann (Julie) of Ringgold, Ga., 10 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
