Humberto Quijano-Quiñones passed away peacefully on July 8, 2025, at the age of 91 in Orlando, Florida. A proud veteran of the United States Army, Humberto served with honor as a medic in a field hospital, providing care and comfort to fellow service members with dedication and compassion.
Following his military service, Humberto worked as a landscaper, known for his strong work ethic and pride in his work. He continued in that field until his retirement, after which he lived a quiet and content life in Orlando, enjoying the peace he had earned.
Though he never married, Humberto lived a rich and joyful life. He loved traveling, dancing, cooking meals from scratch, and collecting owl figurines—filling his days with the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He was known for his warm spirit, gentle nature, and love for family.
He is survived by his niece, Irma Enriquez; his grand-nieces and nephew, Haley Enriquez, Iliana Perez, and Javier Enriquez; and his great-grand-niece, Melani Mullins. Humberto's legacy of kindness, joy, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematory. He will be laid to rest with military honors at Bushnell National Cemetery for Veterans.
