Obituary

The Reverend Dr. Hugh Charles (Chuck) Green, Jr., beloved son, husband, father and founding Pastor of Orangewood Presbyterian Church in Maitland, FL passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017. Born on September 12, 1946 in Huntington West Virgina, Chuck was raised in Ft. Madison, IA, where at 16 he incurred a paralyzing trampoline accident. Chuck would go on to graduate from Jacksonville University earning a degree in marketing. He took his first job with Merrill Lynch as a stock broker in Miami where he heard and faithfully answered God's call on his life. Chuck earned his Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS, and subsequently started Orangewood in 1976 in downtown Orlando. Moving the church to Maitland a few years later, God used Chuck to touch countless lives during his 20 years of service as Senior Pastor. He faithfully maintained his commitment to the Lord in the years to follow.

Chuck is predeceased in life by his parents, Hugh and Eloise Green. He is survived by his wife Linda, his son David Green, his daughter Holly Wheeler and her husband Kevin, his grandchildren Chloe Green, Cason and Charis Wheeler, his sisters Kelly Trabucco and husband Larry, Bette Goldmann and her husband Steve, his nephew Matt Trabucco and wife Tina, their two children Tyler and Colin, and many other extended members of his cherished family.

A celebration of Chuck's life will be held Saturday, June 24 at 1:00pm at Orangewood Presbyterian Church. Donations can be made to the church in memory of Chuck Green.
