Obituary

Stickney, Howard Denny / Dennis 70, motorcycle, car and animal enthusiast, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, Dec 2, 2014 at home in Sanford, FL. Dennis wanted to die on Sunday, but Peggy said he could do one more ride. Dennis grew up in Proctor, MN with parents Violet and Howard Stickney and siblings Judy, Nancy and Tim. He was an avid golfer, which is how he met his wife, Margaret (Peggy) Nissen...on Dec 24 1967, proposed to her on that snow covered golf course in Duluth. Peggy said 'yes' and together raised a family who loved spending time together cooking, going to the beach, snowmobiling, ice skating, sledding, dirt biking, camping and laughing. He cared deeply for his wife, daughters Christine and Cricket, son, Cory and wife, Sandy, and 6 cats. He never claimed to be a people person--yet chose to grace everyone with his sarcastic humor including 17 doctors, Chapter Z Goldwings, motorcycle family and the Crazy Ba****ds. He thanks everyone for putting up with him. Please keep his Can-Am Spyder in your prayers. There will be no viewing, since his wife refused to honor his request to be propped up on his motorcycle for his final adventure. Instead of flowers, Denny hopes you will adopt a pet to make sure they have a home for Christmas or donate to The Salvation Army.
