Howard L Kantor 63 of Gulfport passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015. He was born in Yonkers, New York. He served his country honorably in the United States Navy. In addition to being a chef at the Vinoy Renaissance he was also a general contractor, a member of the Suncoast Blues Society and played the harmonica and jammed with local musicians, he was also the winner of many chilli and salsa cook offs in St. Petersburg and Gulfport. Survivors include his fiance�, Deborah A. Poston; daughter: Melanie R. Kantor; sister: Nancy Andersen. He was preceded in death by his parents: Alexander and Myrtle Loranger Kantor; sister Claudette Kantor. The friends will be received at the funeral home Thursday, March 12 from 4 P.M. until service time at 6 P.M. Interment will be later.
