Howard R. George, 91, of West Leisenring, PA, passed away on May 19, 2024, at Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, PA.

Howard was born on August 1, 1932, in Marianna, PA, the son of Earl and Grace Thorne George.

In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by his daughter, Cheryl Angeline, granddaughter, Tiffany Campbell and several brothers & sisters.

Howard served as a Staff Sergeant in the US Army during the Korean War. He loved his time stationed in Alaska and we loved to hear his stories and watch his face light up as he reminisced. Howard was very quick witted with a keen sense of humor. He was an amazing craftsman that delighted in hand-carving many specialty pieces for his loved ones. He was a dedicated and proud member of Cherry Tree Alliance Church for decades. Howard also found great joy in cooking and gardening. Howard retired from Anchor Hocking. Where he worked for 38 years.

Howard is survived by his wife Evelyn Faye George whom he shared 69 beautiful years of marriage with, daughters, Patricia Guziak and husband Eric and Coleen Gacesa and husband Eric, special son, Donald Pazicni, 7 grandchildren, Justin Pazicni and wife Rebecca, Chelsea Guziak, Eric "Scooter" Guziak, Christin Mazzocco and husband Richard, Brandi Johnson and husband Ryan, Tommy Angeline and wife Sarah, Ashley Angeline, 7 great grandchildren, Mallory and Madisen Pazicni, Dylan and Julianna Angeline, Riley and Emory Mazzocco, Annabelle Komoroski, and a loving sister June Ann Dulick along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends will be received in the DeGusipe Funeral Home and Crematory, 65 N. Gallatin Ave., Uniontown, PA, Stacey A. Dolfi, FD, on Sunday, May 26th, 2024, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. A service will be held in the funeral home at 3:30 PM. Military Rites will be accorded.
