Henry Paul Oakes, 76, passed away on August 23rd, 2016 at 10:28 pm in Altamonte Springs, Florida. He was surrounded by family and passed peacefully. Henry lived a very full life, many would say he lived the life of ten men. We would have to agree. He was a skilled brick mason and has left is mark all over the world. He was loved by many, and will be missed dearly. He was a beloved father to not only his children but to friends of his children as well.

Born in Bellshill, Scotland and raised in Glasgow, Scotland where he lived with his family until they moved to Springfield, IL. He finally moved to Orlando, Florida where he could be close to the beach, which he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his father William Oakes, his mother Sarah Oakes and his brother Frank Oakes.

He is survived by his sister Catherine Cameron Martin, his children: Karen Farley, Pauline Beldin, William Oakes, Shawna Oakes, Erin Weber and Devin Oakes. His grandchildren: Andrea Davidsmeyer, Sam Farley, Shane Beldin, Sydney Glusak, Colin Weber, Juliet Weber and Ava Watson. His great grandchildren: Samaria Farley and Trenton Scoggins.

His life will be celebrated privately with family and there will not be a formal service.
