We are sad to announce the passing of Hemant Patel. At the age of 59, he passed away suddenly from a heart attack on April 25th, 2023 in his home in Saint Cloud, Florida. He was originally born in Karachi, India on May 28th, 1963, to Jivan and Manek Patel.

Hemant immigrated to the United States at a young age and worked hard to earn his education. He had a strong passion for flying and worked hard to pay for flight school in order to become a pilot. Ultimately, he was able to achieve his dream of being a captain at American Airlines. While pursuing his flight certificates and ratings, he met the love of his life Kaushilya Patel. It was not long after that the happy couple had 2 children. Hemant's love for his family and career was the predominant focus of his life, but he enjoyed his own hobbies on the side as well. Whether it was traveling, a home project, or fixing up the cars he always found something he could do with his family. A failing heart may have taken him away from this world, but his loving heart touched everyone he knew.

Hemant is survived by his loving wife, Kaushilya Patel and two sons, Darren and Aaron Patel. His determination and compassion will live on through them.

A visitation will be held from 09:00 a.m - 10:00 a.m on Sunday, May 7th at DeGusipe Funeral Home in Maitland, Florida. A ceremony will start at 10:00 a.m followed by a reception.
