Helen Phillips Howard, 96, of Oviedo, was born in Washington, D.C., and passed away on September 26, 2015. She was retired from the Federal Government.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; mother, Elizabeth Phillips, and sister, Miriam Teagarden. She is survived by her children, Sharon (James) H. Ellerbe of Oviedo, FL; Diane (Greg) H. Perry of Angier, NC, and Darryl (Gail) F. Howard of Greensboro, NC; eight grandchildren: Kristina Seaman of Winter Springs, FL; Brian Ellerbe of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Jason Miles of Fuquay-Varina, NC; Jessica Short of Greensboro, NC; Alexia Cinelli of Raleigh, NC; Andrea Miller of Charlotte, NC; Lauren Wiemann of Durham, NC and Teresa Forrest of Greensboro, NC; and 12 great grandchildren: Taylor, Camryn, Grant, Ella, Angelina, Adrianna, Annabella, Aaron, Gus, Colby, Hannah, Logan, and a little girl to be born in December.

Visitation will be Wednesday, from 9:30 AM-10:00 AM with a Memorial Service starting at 10:00 AM at DeGusipe Funeral Home-Maitland.
