Hazel Calhoun, 81, of Ocoee Florida, left this earth on October 30, 2023, on her final journey to live
forever with her Lord and Savior, and in our hearts.

Hazel was born in Kinston, AL on April 29, 1942. Hazel was one of six children born to Louie B. and
Claudine Scroggins. Hazel graduated from Lakeview High School in 1960. She was married to William L.
Calhoun for 58 years and they were blessed with two children, Teresa and Michael.
Hazel worked for Orange County Public Schools in Food Service and when she was not working, she
enjoyed gardening and spending time with family.

Hazel loved her family and loved to laugh and live life to the fullest. She also loved spending time with
her 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren who called her Granny. Hazel touched so many lives in a
positive way. So many stories have been told and will continue to be told of how she made
a difference or made someone's day. Each story and memory reminds us of the wonderful person she
was.Hazel is preceded in death by her parents, Louie B. and Claudine Scroggins, brothers Dwight, Roger and Larry Scroggins. She is survived by her sisters, Betty Love, Diane Hessling and her children, Teresa
Calhoun Geyer, and Michael Calhoun. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah, Hannah,
Hudson, Paige and great grandchildren, Riley, Hayden, and Ellie.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 AM on November 12, 2023, at the Ocoee Cemetery, 368 E Geneva St, Ocoee, FL 34761. A Celebration of Life will follow at Starke Lake Baptist Church at 1:30 PM.
