Haydee McInnes, 90 of Lake Mary, Florida passed away March 5, 2019. Mrs. McInnes was born August 17, 1928, Ciego de Avila, Cuba to Manuel Torres and Isolina Alvarez.
She is survived by her son Manuel Avino , her daughter Vicky Solano,, her grandchildren Nicole,Michelle, Jessica, Marco and Christina, her great grandchildren Taylor, Ryan and Alexa, her Niece Grissell Garcia, great nieces and nephews and many loving friends.
Haydee received her college degree in Cuba. She went on to teach until the revolution hit and she saw the changes taking place in schools.She pulled her children out of school and went in hiding until she received permission for them to leave. It was six months later that she was allowed to leave, come to the USA, reunite with her children and start her new life. She struggled in a new country with a language barrier and her two children, working up to three jobs for over 10 years. She achieved the American dream and with all her efforts purchased a home. She took every challenged presented to her in stride and made the best of it. Later in life, she passionately enjoyed her grandchildren playing with them any chance she could get. Haydee loved traveling, playing cards, gardening, movies but her greatest passion without a doubt was dancing.
