NORRIS, Harry L.
86 of St. Petersburg, FL passed away on January 3, 2015. Born in Chadbourn, N.C., he moved to Florida in 1938. He proudly served twenty years in the U.S. Coast Guard and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. He was a Viet Nam war veteran. He later managed the Coast Guard Exchange Commissary at Bayboro Harbor in St. Petersburg for 18 years. He was an active member of Praise Cathedral for over 50 years.

Harry is survived by his loving wife Naomi Pearl of 64 years and their four children: Wanda Foster (Ruben); Kenneth (Kellie); Michael (Kathi); and Harry Jr. (Crystal) as well as eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, January 6th at 10:30 a.m. at Praise Cathedral, 4371 76th Avenue North, Pinellas Park, FL 33781. A celebration of his life will follow at 11:30 a.m. A private military burial will occur the following day at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions in honor of Harry Norris be made to Praise Cathedral.
