Harold "Toby" Ashby, 71, passed away after a long struggle with cancer, at his residence in Tangerine, FL. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on March 4, 2019, at the Zellwood United Methodist Church, 5538 Jones Ave, Zellwood FL 32798.

Toby was born in Syracuse, NY, and grew up in Weedsport, NY. He was a glazer in Texas, where he met his wife of 37 years, Gina (Wright) Ashby. They moved to Florida in 1986, where he painted for Disney and Cape Canaveral. After retiring from the Local 1010 (Painters and Allied Trades, AFL-CIO), he painted homes in the area. Toby lived life to the fullest, and loved to dance and make conversation with anyone.

Toby is survived by his wife Gina Ashby; mother Ann Ashby; sister Linda Tortorello; brothers Rodney (Tina) Ashby, and Jeffrey (Karen) Ashby; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was pre-deceased by his father Harold Ashby, and Ann's long-time family friend Roy (Pa) Snyder.

Toby had a gift of gab, and was always willing to help anyone. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations in Toby's name may be made to the AdventHealth - Waterman Cancer Institute.
